During IDW, the six prominent dairy breeds in Australia; Holstein, Jersey, Illawarra, Ayrshire, Guernsey and Brown Swiss, are judged and each breed selects a Junior Champion, an Intermediate Champion and a Senior Champion.

At the conclusion of each breed's show, a Supreme Champion Exhibit is selected from these three championship winners.

For only the second time in IDW history, organizer's would like to bring the six Supreme Champion Exhibits together to select an overall Australian Grand Champion.

Judging of the Australian Grand Champion will take place Thursday 22nd January 2009 at Tatura Park in the judging arena at approximately 5:00pm.

The Australian Grand Champion will be judged by all IDW judges and the successful winner will take home a trophy, prize money and be inducted into the IDW Hall of Fame.
